Forecast Discussion

Today is cooler behind a cold front. The front washes out over us today but it could trigger a few showers during the day.

A cold front moves toward us Monday and passes through Tuesday. A surface trough of low pressure will develop ahead of the cold front and it should spark afternoon showers and thundershowers Monday. Drier air moves in Tuesday but there may be just enough moisture for an afternoon shower or two. Temperatures are close to average,

Cooler air moves in Wednesday but the front stalls not too far to our south. An upper air disturbance should move into western NC from TN and these features could generate showers and thundershowers Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Friday and Saturday look dry with near average temperatures under high pressure.
