Forecast Discussion

High pressure dominates our weather today. It will shift overhead tonight and then off the Southeast Coast of the U.S. on Saturday. A return flow of southerly air will moderate temperatures by Saturday afternoon.

A weakening frontal zone will promote the return of cloud cover on Sunday. Some spotty light rain will be around late-day and Sunday night, but we’re really not expecting much precipitation.

Monday will feature partly sunny skies and mild temperatures. Another front will move into the area Tuesday night and stall over the interior Southeast for the remainder of the workweek. Hard-to-time frontal waves will provide a rather soggy second-half of the week. A cold press by late-week will also result in a decreasing temperature trend.
